YEREVAN (Sputnik) — The United Nations will provide some $119 million to Armenia between 2016 and 2020 to support the country’s development, the Armenian government said Saturday.
The announcement was made after Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahimyan and UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative for Armenia Bradley Busetto signed the corresponding agreement.
Following the document signing, Abrahimyan thanked the United Nations for helping the country achieve its set goals, including battling AIDS, improving primary education, and reducing child mortality rates.
