MOSCOW (Sputnik) Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said Wednesday he expected to have debt relief for the country in November.

"We will have debt relief in November," Tsipras said in an interview with the Sto Kokkino radio station.

Greece owes about $270 billion of its $350-billion total debt to its main creditors — the European Central Bank, the International Monetary Fund and eurozone nations.

Following numerous rounds of negotiations, the eurozone countries agreed on July 13 to provide $95 billion to Athens over thee years in exchange for austerity reforms. Greece is currently in talks with its lenders over the final agreement, seeking to finalize the negotiations by August 12.

Last week, EU Commissioner on Economic and Financial Affairs Pierre Moscovici said that Greece’s creditors were ready to provide debt relief for Athens if the country fully delivered on the terms of the freshly-agreed third bailout package.
