MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Some 61.3 percent of voters in the Sunday Greek referendum voted against the lenders-proposed bailout plan, while 38.6 percent said ‘yes,’ the country’s Interior Ministry said Monday after all the votes were counted.
About six percent of the ballot papers were declared invalid, according to the ministry’s website.
The voting comes after Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras announced last week a nationwide referendum on whether Greece should accept its creditors' demands for spending cuts and tax increases in exchange for further financial assistance in order to avoid default.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras urged Athens' international creditors to return to the negotiating table and continue discussing the Greek issue.
