MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The newspaper said Thursday that the documents contained details about Blair’s trips around the globe involving bodyguards, private jets and luxury hotels.
Blair is said to be visiting up to five countries a week, accompanied by up to eight Metropolitan Police officers.
The Telegraph learned from the files that the former UK prime minister and his entourage stay at five-star hotels, while traveling on private jest lent by clients and governments.
The documents also reportedly indicate that Blair has been using one and same trips to have both private business meetings and consultations as the Middle East Quartet representative, which might raise concerns over potential conflict of interest.
In 2008, Blair established his own company, Tony Blair Associates, that provides advice in the areas of governance, modernization and implementation. It provides geopolitical and strategic advice to multinational corporations, as stated on the organization's website.
