MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Interpol said on its website:
“At the request of US Authorities, Interpol Red Notices have been issued for two former FIFA officials and four corporate executives for charges including racketeering conspiracy and corruption.”
Others in the list include Alejandro Burzaco from Argentina, Hugo and Mariano Jinkis from Argentina, and Jose Margulies (aka Jose Lazaro) from Brazil.
All the officials on the wanted list were indicted last Wednesday on a US federal corruption warrant.
A total of 14 people, including nine FIFA officials, have been indicted for racketeering and money laundering by the US Department of Justice. Seven of the defendants were arrested in Zurich at the request of US authorities.
The corruption scandal led to the resignation of FIFA head Joseph Blatter on Tuesday, just four days after winning reelection to a fifth term.
