Russia's Turkish Stream Project to Kill Two Birds With One Stone
Serbia‘s gas infrastructure, particularly in the south of the country, is insufficient.  The country’s officials are interested in participating in energy projects, including those, proposed by other countries.

In his statement, Bajatovic expressed hope that problems between Russia and European countries "will soon be resolved."

Bajatovic is known as one of the main supporters of the "South Stream" project, proposed by Russia. In early December, Russian authorities cancelled the project’s implementation due to the unconstructive position of the EU and decided to build a "pipeline" to Turkey, creating gas hub for Southern European consumers in Greece.
