The deadly Ukrainian conflict could escalate into a full-scale war across Europe if not enough diplomatic effort is made to fulfill the Minsk agreements, according to Rebelión, a Spanish news website.

"For a year European and US diplomats, who used to encourage the protesters and financed instigators and thugs, … have watched in cold blood a civil war unfold," the media outlet said, adding that it is hard to find another country, where the West has acted so irresponsibly.

US Sends Defensive Arms to Kiev Amid Reported Buildup in Donbass
The United States seems to be determined to raise tensions by sending weapons and military advisers to Kiev, Rebelión noted. As a result, NATO might get involved in the conflict, which would then pose a significant threat to Europe.

"Obama, the Pentagon and the US Department of State discuss the level of their involvement in the [Ukrainian civil] war, for in fact they are taking part in it through their advisers, spies and mercenaries," the media outlet continued.

An army of corrupt journalists is assisting high-ranking officials in Washington and NATO, who know based on the example of Yugoslavia and Iraq people have a short memory and one lie can cover another, Rebelión warned.

"The fire in Ukraine becomes logical when one recalls wars that the United States sparked in Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya and Yemen," the media outlet said.

Washington wants to put Brussels in a tight spot by the means of the Ukrainian conflict. "Open confrontation between Russia and the European Union in Ukraine would have become a 'bleeding wound' of the whole continent and a perfect ground for the US to beef up its power through NATO," Rebelión said.
