The families of Ukrainian troops involved in the military operation in Donbass held a round-table meeting with Governor Oleg Sinyutka and complained about terrible conditions for servicemen in the army.

Families of Ukrainian troops involved in the Kiev-led military operation in Donbass staged a protest on Tuesday near the Lviv region administration demanding rotation in the military.

The relatives held a round-table meeting with Governor Oleg Sinyutka. He promised to settle the rotation issue. During the meeting, all the relatives could talk about their problems and voice their demands.

The families complained that hygienic conditions for servicemen in the army are terrible. They have numerous health issues, but do not have enough medical supplies.

The governor promised to get in touch with the Defense Ministry and President Petro Poroshenko and help to solve the problem.

Mass Exodus: Young People Fleeing From Ukraine to Evade Draft
Since mid-April 2014 the Ukrainian army has been involved in a military operation in the east of Ukraine. According to the latest UN report, 6,116 people were killed there from April 2014 to April 14 2015. In addition, 15,574 people were injured in the conflict zone.

The settlement of the crisis has been discussed at various talks, including during the contact group meeting in Minsk, Belarus. The February 12 meeting resulted in approving measures for the implementation of the Minsk agreements. The agreements presume a ceasefire in Donbass since February 15, heavy weapons withdrawal and the creation of a security zone.

One of the principal points of the agreements is the constitutional reform and the permanent law on a special status of particular districts of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

According to the agreements, decentralization should be implemented in accordance with the regions involved. However, Kiev neglects this demand saying it will never be in talks with representatives of the breakaway regions.
