The self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) received a list of names of Kiev candidates to take part in Ukrainian reconciliation, but the list was not received yet, according to the LPR envoy at Ukraine peace talks Vladislav Deinego.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) has received a list of Kiev candidates to take part in the work of sub-groups on Ukrainian reconciliation, their official appointment is still pending, the LPR envoy at Ukraine peace talks said Wednesday.

"We have received a list of names that has not been approved yet, so it is too early to announce these names," Vladislav Deinego told RIA Novosti.

The formation of the working sub-groups within the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) on Ukraine was one of the 13 points of the Minsk II package of measures agreed during the Normandy format talks in the Belarusian capital in February.

The working sub-groups are expected to oversee the implementation of the ceasefire deal that also envisioned heavy artillery pullout and prisoner exchange.

The TCG comprises representatives from Ukraine, Russia and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). The group works toward resolution of the Ukrainian crisis, holding regular talks with representatives of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics.

The Normandy Quartet of Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France have been trying to work out a solution to the ongoing crisis in eastern Ukraine that erupted after the regions of Luhansk and Donetsk declared independence from Kiev in April 2014.

At least 6,000 people have been killed in the Ukrainian conflict while 1.2 million have been internally displaced, according to UN estimates.
