The meeting has been dropped on recommendation of the Security Intelligence Police due to an alleged potential threat posed by such an event and the fact that this meeting does not have any direct connection to the parliament’s activities.

The main subject of the meeting was due to be the freedom of speech.

The event was expected to be arranged by Finns Party MP Mika Raatikainen. On Friday, Raatikainen accused chairman of the Finnish Social Democratic Party and Speaker of the Parliament Eero Heinäluoma of the meeting’s cancellation.
