WARSAW (Sputnik) — Poland thanked Russia for assistance in the evacuation of the country’s nationals from crisis-hit Yemen, a spokesman for the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement Friday.
“The Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its gratitude to the Russian Federation for evacuation of 20 people, carried out by air from Sanaa to Moscow,” Marcin Wojciechowski said.
The evacuation will continue on Saturday, as over 70 additional Russian citizens have asked to leave Yemen, according to Russia’s Foreign Ministry.
