A 14-year-old teenager has been charged with terrorism in the Austrian city of St Pölten after he contacted militants linked to the Islamic State. The boy could face up to five years in prison if found guilty.
The teenager of Turkish origin was allegedly planning to carry out a series of bombing attacks across Vienna, where he was arrested in January. He reportedly wanted to plant a bomb at Westbahnhof, a busy railway station in the Austrian capital.
His trial is expected to begin in May.
