TALLINN, November 16 (Sputnik) — Humanitarian aid from Estonia has arrived at the repository of the United Nation's (UN) International Refugee Organization's office in Kiev, local television reported Sunday.

Almost 30 tons of foodstuffs have been delivered to Kiev and will be further sent to Odesa region, southwestern Ukraine, to help internal refugees, Estonian TV channel reported.

According to the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine, some 455,000 Ukrainian residents have temporarily moved from the territories of the special operation in Donbas to other Ukrainian regions.

Following a February coup in Kiev, residents of Donetsk and Luhansk in eastern Ukraine established people's republics that later declared independence. An armed conflict started in eastern Ukraine in mid-April, when Kiev launched a military operation against independence supporters there, which led to a desperate humanitarian situation in the region.

The UN data suggests that the death toll has already exceeded 4,000, with more than 9,000 having been injured.
