Russia and Turkey have finally made up after the downing of the Su-24 jet injured relations between the two countries.

Russia wants to fully restore relations with Turkey, President Vladimir Putin said at the press conference in St. Petersburg after the meeting with his Turkish counterpart.

"We hope that the restoration of our relations will help bring peace and stability in the region," Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

Meanwhile, Turkish media revealed that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan apologized in a letter to Vladimir Putin for the incident with the Russian Su-24, using the Russian word ‘izvinite’ (sorry).
