20:16 GMT 10.06.2016 (Updated: 11:00 GMT 06.08.2022) After a series of delays, the US National Reconnaissance Office plans to launch a new spy satellite into orbit aboard the Delta IV heavy rocket on Saturday.
While little is known about the surveillance satellite’s true mission, experts speculate it is the latest variety of Orion class satellites, traditionally used to gather earthbound signals intelligence (SIGNIT) from space.
