Ukraine Made No Offer to Resume Russian Gas Purchases - Energy Ministry
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — On Thursday, Ukraine's oil and gas company Naftogaz head Andriy Kobolyev said that the country will resume gas imports in early July in preparation for the heating season.

"I expect that in a 10-year perspective, Ukraine will be absolutely energy independent, and we won’t buy any single meter of international gas, neither from Russia nor from Europe," Yatsenyuk stated.

Since the 2014 outbreak of the Ukraine crisis, the country has shifted to import energy from Europe and away from Russia.

In November 2015, Ukraine suspended purchases of Russian gas, saying the prices offered by its European partners were much lower than those offered by Moscow.
