Putin: Russia Still Mulling Single Economic Zone From Atlantic to Pacific

Moscow is considering the idea of a single economic and humanitarian zone with the European Union stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean as the most perspective idea when it comes to the long-term development of Eurasia.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia is not giving up the idea to create a single economic zone with the European Union, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday.

"I am stressing that Russia is not giving up the idea to create a single economic and humanitarian zone with the European Union stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. Moreover, we believe it is the most perspective idea when it comes to long-term, stable development of the entire Eurasian continent," Putin told Russian ambassadors.
