ASTANA (Sputnik) – The free trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and Vietnam will enter into force by the end of summer, Russia's First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said Tuesday.
“The presidents [of the EEU member states] endorsed the agreement that will develop our free trade zone agreement with Vietnam. We are at the stage of completing the ratification procedures and hope that this agreement will enter into force by the end of summer,” he said after the EEU Supreme Council Meeting.
The Russia-led EEU, in existence since January 2015, provides for the free movement of goods, services, capital and labor among its five member states.
