Russia, Serbia May Sign Contract on Underground Gas Depot Expansion
In 2014, the Russian energy giant supplied Serbia with 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas under a 10-year deal, signed in 2013.

In a separate project, Russia and Serbia are planning to extend the Serbian underground gas storage facility Banatski Dvor, which is one of the largest of its kind in southeastern Europe and plays an important role in ensuring the stability of Russian gas supplies to European customers.

Last month, the Serbian ambassador to Russia said an agreement to double Banatski Dvor's capacity to potentially store up to 1 billion cubic meters of natural gas could be signed by Moscow and Belgrade by the end of 2015.
