NEW YORK (Sputnik) — An upcoming meeting between Russian officials and business experts in New York City should shed light on various business opportunities in Russia, former Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Trade and Investment Policy at the US Treasury Gary Hufbauer told Sputnik.
“The big benefit will be to put a spotlight on current business opportunities in Russia,” Hufbauer, who is Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, said on Friday. “There must be lots of them.”
Hufbauer is one of several participants scheduled to partake in the forthcoming annual meeting of the US-Russian Business Council on Tuesday.
The US-Russian Business Council is a US-based trade association seeking to expand and enhance commercial relations between the United States and Russia by engaging in advocacy efforts with both countries’ governments, according to the Council’s website.
