MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The contract price of Russian gas for Ukraine for the fourth quarter is set at $252 per 1,000 cubic meters without a discount.
Ukraine ceased purchasing gas from Russian energy giant Gazprom in July after Kiev and Moscow had failed to reach an agreement on gas deliveries for the third quarter of 2015.
On Thursday, Medvedev signed a directive setting the price for gas deliveries to Kiev in the fourth quarter of 2015, which is the same price Russia charges the EU countries that neighbor Ukraine.
Earlier on Friday, Gazprom said it would drop its take or pay rule for Ukraine's Naftogaz through March 2016.
