MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Unemployment in Germany is currently at its lowest level since 1990.
Seasonally-adjusted figures show that the number of job-seekers in Germany rose by 9,000 in the past month, against lower expectations of 5,000 for July, according to the report.
In June, some 1,000 people lost their jobs in Germany, the report said.
Earlier in July, the German Labor Agency said in its outlook for 2015 that it expects an average of 2.79 million unemployed in the country, an improvement of 100,000 against previous projections. The figures reported by the agency on Thursday confirm these expectations.
