Washington and five Central-Asian republics are starting a dialogue on battling terrorism in the region, US Secretary of State John Kerry said.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The members of the C5+1 group, comprising the United States, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are launching a dialogue aimed at fighting terrorism in Central Asia, US Secretary of State John Kerry announced on Wednesday.

"One program that we’ll do is initiate a dialogue within a global counter-terrorism forum to assist Central Asian states in combating radicalization, and reduce the threat that is posed by foreign terrorist fighters," Kerry said.
