The talks are significant coming in the wake of recent terror attacks in Bangladesh, which has  been reeling under spate of terror attacks and has seen an increase of radical forces in the country. India has assured Bangladesh it will give full support in its fight against terrorism.

Ahead of the India-Bangladesh Home Minister Level talks, both the countries decided to set up more border outposts to check trans-border movement of terrorists, smuggling and infiltration. While India will construct 508 new border outposts, besides the existing 1200. Bangladesh will set up 50 more in addition to its existing 35 border outposts.
