A section of a commuter train has exploded and burst into flames at the Songhan metro station in Taipei. The cause of the blast is unknown yet. Investigation is underway.
A loud explosion was heard before the flames engulfed the wagon, eyewitnesses told local media. Passengers were evacuated immediately after the incident.

Meanwhile, local media report there were three blasts inside the cabin which burst into flames.

Taipei's Fire Department received the message about the incident around 10 pm local time. More than 10 ambulances and fireengines were sent to the scene.
