NEW DELHI (Sputnik) — Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has enhanced control on the India-Bangladesh border over a recent deadly terrorist attack in Dhaka, local media reported with reference to BSF.
"After the attack in Bangladesh, we have further increased our vigil along the border. We have issued high alerts and special operations are on," BSF Inspector General said as quoted by the NDTV broadcaster on Saturday.
On Friday, the Daesh terrorist group, banned in Russia, claimed responsibility for taking hostages inside a cafe located in a diplomatic quarter of the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka. According to the latest data, the attack has left 20 people dead, while 13 hostages have been rescued by the country's security forces. Most of victims are foreigners, according to reports.
