Tormented by the scorching heat, a man from the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh has filed a complaint with police against the Sun God.

New Delhi (Sputnik) — A young man from India's central state of Madhya Pradesh has stunned the country by trying to sue the sun.

In a complaint filed against Shri Suryadev (India's Sun God), residing in Bhrahmand (the universe), Shivpal Singh Yadav has alleged the Sun God of inflicting torture on human kind, animals and plants by showering fire from above.

Requesting the Shajapur police station to register a First Information Report, the complainant has said that he has been subjected to extreme mental and physical torture due to rising temperatures and has demanded that appropriate legal action be taken against the perpetrator in accordance with the Indian code of criminal procedure.

An official complaint to register an FIR against Sun for excessive heat. Hilarious.

The temperature in Shajapur has hit a record high of above 47 degree Celsius, which, according to the complainant, is unjust.
Meanwhile, as temperatures continue to rise, the Indian twitterati have been taking digs at the Sun God.

Yadav seems to have taken his cue from a popular Bolywood flick, 'Oh My God', in which the protagonist sues the Gods for causing an earthquake that destroys his livelihood. In the movie, lord Krishna himself descends from heaven to dispel the doubts of the protagonist. However, in this case, it is yet to be seen whether Shivpal Singh will go any further.

This is not the first time that an Indian has sought to sue the gods. In February, Chandan Kumar Singh, a lawyer from the state of Bihar, filed a case against Lord Rama for being unjust to his wife in the Mythological epic Ramayana.
