Police have not yet determined the identity of the deceased but both of them are reportedly men.
The cause of the crash is unknown and it is still not clear where the plane had taken off, according to a spokesman of a local airfield cited by The Age.
The plane crashed in a paddock while flying over Lancefield, a town in the Shire of Macedon Ranges in Victoria.
