TOKYO (Sputnik) – Pyongyang said it put a satellite into orbit on February 7, a month after claiming to successfully test a hydrogen bomb.
Seoul may ban entry for foreign vessels that have called at North Korean ports similar to restrictive measures imposed last week by Japan, the Yonhap news service cited sources as saying.
South Korea introduced a similar entry ban in 2010 after a warship incident in the Yellow Sea.
The new sanctions will likely be announced after a new UN Security Council resolution, the sources added.
