An explosion at a restaurant in eastern China on Saturday killed at least 17 people, local media reported.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to Xinhua news agency, following the explosion in the restaurant in Wuhu city of Anhui province, a fire erupted.

Police are currently investigating the incident.

According to preliminary data, the blast was caused by a gas cylinder explosion.
