If 7,000 US-trained Afghan troops ran away from 500 Taliban fighters, it characterizes the quality of the training, a Russian official opined.

Afghan Army Chases Taliban Out of Kunduz After Days of Clashes
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Taliban capturing the city of Kunduz in northern Afghanistan shows the failure of Washington's program to train Afghan forces, head of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Second Asia Department Zamir Kabulov said Friday.

"According to the New York Times, only 500 Taliban members took part in the seizing of the city, and this could have been the Islamic State," Kabulov told RIA Novosti. "According to official statistics, the total number of Afghan security forces in the province stands at 7,000. How did 7,000 people run away from 500 Taliban members? This, of course, says something about the quality of their training."
