India Finalizes National Counter-Terror Framework to Fight ISIL
NEW DELHI (Sputnik) According to the sources, the project will include gathering social media intelligence by several security agencies for analysis, problem detection and crime prevention.

Six Indian ministries, including the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of External Affairs, as well as the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, are set to collaborate on the Situation Room project.

In August, India finalized the National Counter-Terror Framework which raises the Indian government's awareness of the existing and emerging threats to the national security through the social media analysis system.

Islamic State, a jihadist militant group, is known for recruiting young people from all over the world by extensively using social media.

Between 20,000 and 30,000 foreigners are estimated to be fighting alongside IS extremists against government forces in Syria and Iraq.
