A shale mine in central China flooded, claiming the lives of at least five people. One miner is still missing, according to Xinhua, China's official news agency.
The tragedy took place on Monday night, officials said, adding that rescuers discovered one body late Friday and four others on Saturday morning.
The cause of the flooding is not immediately clear, and a search-and-rescue operation is under way.
