Saudi Prince Goes on Endangered Species Killing Spree

Subscribe
Despite the activity being banned, Prince Fahd has continued with his controversial hobby of shooting rare birds in 2015.

Saudi Arabia's Prince Fahd has embarked on a rare bird hunt in Pakistan despite pleas to end the practice from conservationists and Baluchistan's High Court.

Although there are only 97,000 Houbara bustards left in the world, this did not stop the prince from killing 2,100 of them in 2014, leading officials to ban the practice for foreigners and enact a bag limit of 100 birds per hunting season per license issued exclusively to locals.

However, this was not enough to stop Prince Fahd from hunting down birds again in 2015.

Scores of activists picketed the press club in Quetta, a city in the area where Houbara bustards are hunted on Monday, demanding an end to the practice
