MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The performance began with the national anthems of the Russian Federation and North Korea, followed by several Russian and North Korean songs perturbed by the orchestra and the choir. The concert is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Korea’s liberation from the Japanese occupation and the end of World War II.
The second performance in the Russian capital will be held on Tuesday. Artists will then move to the eastern Russia's city of Khabarovsk to finish their official visit.
Earlier, the North Korean Embassy spokesperson told Sputnik that the visit is aimed at promoting cultural relations between the two countries and strengthening bilateral friendship.
