A source close to his family said that the 65-year-old is "transitioning to a woman."
"He is finally happy and his family is accepting of what he's doing. He's in such a great space. That's why it's the perfect time to do something like this," the source said.
The news comes shortly after it was revealed that Jenner would be starring in his own reality show later this year to share his momentous 'journey' with television viewers.
Kim Kardashian, for her part, reacted smoothly to her stepfather's ongoing transformation.
"I think everyone goes through things in life, and I think that story and what Bruce is going through, I think he'll share whenever the time is right", Kardashian said, according to ET.
Jenner, a former Olympic track and field athlete, had become the focus of sex-change speculation after reports emerged that he allegedly had his Adam's apple surgically reduced and started growing his hair long.
According to the International Business Times, Jenner did little to alleviate the rumors and was most recently photographed with hot pink nails, makeup and suspiciously smooth legs.
Jenner is reportedly going about his transition process at a relaxed pace because he allegedly wants his family to have time to adapt to his changes.
