RapInfo Music Video Wins EuroViral Award

RIA Novosti’s RapInfo music video on the protests in Moscow and the Baturin case has won an award at EuroViral, the first European viral content festival, which was held in Burgas on September 7-8. The music video was named the winner in the Bright Viral video category.

RIA Novosti’s RapInfo music video on the protests in Moscow and the Baturin case has won an award at EuroViral, the first European viral content festival, which was held in Burgas on September 7-8. The music video was named the winner in the Bright Viral video category.

The festival’s nine-member jury, which included marketing, advertising, public relations, and communications experts from Italy, Belgium, Russia and Bulgaria, viewed and chose the best viral videos and short films in 30 categories. Submissions were received from marketing, advertising, public relations, business communications, brand management and design experts from more than 20 countries in Europe and the CIS, as well as amateur creators of entertainment content distributed on the Internet and on social networking sites.

"It’s a great video,” said Yanina Dubeykovskaya, a member of the jury and the festival’s general producer.

“It’s very expressive, emotional and bright, with good footage, which impressed the judges who did not understand a word of Russian. And for those who do understood the language, this video was a revelation. It’s professionally made, bright and speaks to our civic values."

RapInfo is an exclusive RIA Novosti project launched in June 2011. It includes weekly rap newscasts in Russian on the agency’s YouReporter website, the round-the-clock RIA video channel, its YouTube channel, and Facebook and VKontakte social networking sites.

EuroViral aims to personalize internet communication among all viral creators by providing a platform for sharing opinions, experience and creative ideas in the development of advertising and entertainment content designed to have a certain communicative function through its visualized emotional impact.

The event was organized by the Bulgarian SeaMediaGroup Ltd. with assistance from the Burgas Municipality and in partnership with a number of European media organizations.
