Rise of Machines? WATCH Drone Spin Out of Control, Attack People in Japan
17:02 GMT 09.11.2017 (Updated: 19:32 GMT 19.10.2022) Six visitors at a robotics show in Ogaki, Japan, were injured after a four-kilogram drone crashed into the crowd.
The video footage shows the drone hovering in the sky tossing out candy to the crowd below when it suddenly malfunctioned and came down onto the crowd spinning out of control.
Six people suffered minor injuries such as cuts to their foreheads and shoulders.
Currently the police are investigating the incident, according to the Japan Times.
This is, however, not the first case of human injury as a result of a drone crash. Back in February 2017 a airborne drone that was taking pictures of a construction site crashed into a construction crane and fell on a man who suffered injuries to his face.
