An RT's correspondent received a blow from an Israeli soldier during a live broadcast of clashes between the Israeli police and Palestinians in Jerusalem, the broadcaster reported on Saturday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The video issued by the RT Arabic showed how its correspondent Dalia Nammari received a blow to her back, as the Israeli forces dispersed the Palestinians near the the Lion’s Gate.
According to the broadcaster, the Saturday’s protest broke out as hundreds of Palestinians performed the evening prayers outside the al-Aqsa Mosque, protesting against Israel's decision to impose new security measures restricting access for Muslim prayers.
On Friday, three Israeli nationals were killed in a stabbing attack at a home in the Jewish settlement of Neve Tsuf. The same day, three Palestinians were killed and hundreds were injured in Jerusalem and across the West Bank in clashes with police while protesting against Israel's decision to install metal detectors at the gates to the Temple Mount, where the third holiest mosque in Islam is located.
