"The coup attempt has been foiled," Dundar said in televised appearance, adding that 90 people 'fell martyrs.'
Earlier in the day the Anadolu agency reported that the death toll has risen to 90 people following a military coup attemt in Turkey with some 1,154 wounded. Dundar noted that several high-ranking officers had been kidnapped by coup supporters.
"Anyone who betrays the country will not go unpunished," Dundar added.
Members of Turkey's armed forces on Friday night tried to stage a military coup. They began with a statement saying they had seized control of the country "to reinstall the constitutional order, democracy, human rights and freedoms, to ensure that the rule of law once again reigns in the country, for law and order to be reinstated."
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday morning declared he is in control of the country.
More than 1,500 military personnel were arrested across the country after the coup attempt.
