15:55 GMT 16.04.2016 (Updated: 16:13 GMT 16.04.2016) Riad Hijab, leader of Syria's opposition High Negotiations Committee’s (HNC) arrived to Geneva to take part in the intra-Syrian talks.
GENEVA (Sputnik) — Syria's opposition High Negotiations Committee’s (HNC) leader Riad Hijab arrived on Saturday in Geneva to participate in the new round of intra-Syrian talks, a Sputnik correspondent reported.
Earlier in the day, HNC delegation head Asaad Zoubi told Sputnik that the Riyadh-formed opposition was planning to
speed up the negotiation process on Syria’s reconciliation.
UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura has already held meetings with both Damascus and HNC delegations earlier this week.
The topics of political transition, governance, and the constitution are of top priority on the agenda, according to the UN special envoy.
