Aneesa Makhlouf, the mother of Syrian President Bashar Assad, died at the age of 86, state media reported.
DAMASCUS (Sputnik) – According to the Sana news agency, Aneesa Makhlouf passed away Saturday.
She was born in the city of Latakia in 1930, and married former Syrian President Hafez Assad in 1957.
