MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Intra-Syrian talks in Geneva will be held despite the current absence of some members of the Syrian opposition, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said Friday.
"Negotiations will begin either way, regardless of whether the second part of the opposition arrives or not. The talks will begin. If the Riyadh-part of the [Syrian] opposition hasn't arrived, it's their problem, if I may say so," Gatilov told RIA Novosti.
"Everyone else who is interested in the negotiation process to begin is already in Geneva," he added.
