Qatar Emir to Visit Russia on January 18 - Qatari Diplomatic Source
Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Thani is expected to visit Russia on January 18, a diplomatic source in the Arab state told Sputnik on Friday.
MOSCOW, January 15 (Sputnik) – The source added that the information regarding the visit was likely to be published on the Kremlin’s website at 09:00 GMT.
The source specified that Thani was likely to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Monday, January 18, during a one-day visit.

"Additionally, other meetings with Russian representatives in the [upper and lower houses of the Russian parliament] Federation Council and the State Duma are scheduled," the source said.
The details were disclosed two days after a Qatari diplomatic source told Sputnik the Emir was likely to travel to the Russian capital "during the next week."
Thani’s visit comes a month after Qatari Foreign Minister Khalid Bin Mohammed Attiyah met Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow to discuss a set of bilateral and international issues.
