MOSCOW, November 2 (RIA Novosti) — Russia’s natural gas production increased by an annualized 2.11 percent during the first ten months of this year, having reached 516.684 bn cubic meters, while liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports to Asia-Pacific amount to 11.830 bn cubic meters.
Russia’s largest natural gas producer, Gazprom, has extracted 352.818 bn cubic meters during this period, a year-on-year decline of 38.309 bn. Novatek has extracted 52.308 bn in January-October, up 4.355 bn from the previous year, according to official estimates by Central Dispatching Department of Fuel Energy Complex (CDU TEK).
The CDU TEK-provided statistics on this year’s January-October period do not include data on domestic natural gas consumption, neither they show exports in natural gas to former Soviet Union states and non-CIS nations.
However, the report concludes that LNG exports to the nations of Asia-Pacific in January-October 2014 reached 11.830 bn cubic meters.
According to the CDU TEK data, Russia’s natural gas production in 2013 added 2 percent year-on-year and amounted to 668.024 bn cubic meters, while exports in natural gas rose 10 percent to 204.911 bn cubic meters.
