No explosive devices have been found in the southwest Moscow office of Russian gas monopoly Gazprom, a police spokesman said on Friday.

The Gazprom office received a telephone call on Friday in which an unidentified caller claimed there was a bomb on the premises. Police and emergencies personnel were dispatched to the scene and sniffer dogs searched the building.

"An inspection showed that there were no explosive devices in the building," the police official said.

The phone number of the caller has been determined, he said, adding that measures to track the caller have been taken.

There have been around a dozen hoax bomb warnings across Russia in the past week, with universities, courts and other public buildings targeted.
