The Sumarokovo Moose Farm in the Kostroma Region is Russia’s only farm that raises and maintains moose. It currently has dozens of these four-legged residents living there. According to the farm’s employees, the calves are taken away from their mothers after four months and are transferred to a separate enclosure, an unusual kindergarten, where humans become the animals’ parents.

Another unique feature is that the farm produces moose milk, which is used in medicine. For example, it can be used in a digestive disease treatment. However, it is quite difficult to produce this valuable product.
